Adamawa Governor Hails DSS for Ensuring Public Safety and Security

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has commended the Department of State Security Service (DSS) for its pivotal role in maintaining public safety and security in Adamawa State.

Speaking at a ceremony honoring the outgoing State Director, Olushola Aguda, and commissioning a renovated hall at the service’s headquarters, Fintiri described the DSS as a “partner in progress.”

The Governor praised Aguda as a “magic man” committed to duty, citing his achievements as a testament to the service’s robust and intelligent personnel.

Fintiri expressed confidence that the incoming Director, James Adagba, would build on Aguda’s successes.

Fintiri acknowledged the DSS’s daily security reports as instrumental in informing the government’s security decisions, assuring the service of his administration’s commitment to providing necessary support.

He urged DSS personnel to remain dedicated, collaborative, and mindful of their responsibilities to humanity, seeking their continued support for the incoming Director.

Earlier speaking, Deputy Director of Administration and Logistics Shettima Buba welcomed guests, acknowledging mixed feelings about Aguda’s transfer while emphasizing the inevitability of change.
