Adamawa approves N235m flood relief fund

The Adamawa State Executive Council has approved a phase two intervention fund of N235 million to support 941 households affected by floods in Numan, Lamurde, Demsa, Michika, and Madagali.

Commissioner of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Reintegration Services, Bello Hamman Diram, said the support was not an emergency, but a recovery and development initiative.

“This move is aimed at providing relief to those affected by the devastating floods, with the selection of beneficiaries based on the severity of the flood’s impact on each area,” he stated.
