Actress Iyabo Ojo shares rough experience as single mum

Ace Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo while reminiscing about her life has shared with her fans how she struggled as a single mother stating that during her younger days she never knew she would make it in life.

The mother of two while taking a trip down memory lane stated that when her children were still young she was depressed and confused.

Now the 44-year-old thespian whose daughter is also toeing her path has various businesses and she is one of the most sought after actresses in Nollywood.

Taking to her verified Instagram page, the delectable actress shared a picture of her with both her kids at a time the children were toddlers as she captioned the post with these words, “This year I began my journey as a single mum with no direction… I was afraid, sometimes depressed, confused, I always had a lot of anxiety.”

The filmmaker continued, “I felt like a failure, a loser, I felt I wasn’t good enough, I felt little, I didn’t really know how to fit in or even start… how was I even going to pull through?

“I never thought of me making it in life, I just wanted my kids to be fine, that was my ultimate goal… All I knew to do was to love my kids immensely and give them all of me and that inspired me to keep moving.”

Ojo seized the opportunity to encourage her fans saying, “Today I look back and all I want to say is thank you Lord. It is never too late to start all over again. It will be tough but you will be fine. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.”
