The actress said the gesture was part of the foundation’s initiative to better the lives of the elderly and widows across the country.

She said, “The event is an annual celebration by the foundation but it’s the first time, it has been extended to the north. It is aimed at identifying with the widows and the aged women, by giving them hope, love, affection and sense of belonging, so as to carry them along as humans.

“The foundation conducts this activity around the country, irrespective of tribe, region and religion. We feel every poor and downtrodden is a human who deserves the best from society.”

Queen Blessing said the foundation will continue to expand its scope especially in the northern part of the country.
