ACF hails Matawalle for exposing soldier arrested for supplying arms

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has commended the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, for sharing information on the arrest of a soldier and his girlfriend who were arrested for supplying arms and military uniforms to bandits.

Daily Trust reports that the ACF had, last week, through its National Chairman, Audu Ogbe, demanded that the governor name the people collaborating with kidnappers and bandits in his state after Matawalle alleged that Nigerians would be shocked if he were to release the names of those collaborating with bandits.

However, the ACF in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Emmanuel Yawe, on Monday, stated that it was happy to note that the government of Zamfara had acted appropriately by exposing the arrest of a soldier and his girlfriend for supplying arms and military uniforms to bandits.
