The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has called on northern governors to set up mobile courts to handle cases of abduction, drug peddling, phone snatching and other societal vices.
The ACF chairman, Kano chapter, Dr Goni Faruk Umar, made the call during a visit to the Kano State Hisbah Board.
He explained that the rate of abduction of underage children from the northern part of Nigeria is alarming, hence the need for more efforts to mitigate the scourge.
He said the meeting was convened to show concern over how children are abducted from Kano and other northern states, while some were sold by doctors as confirmed by the police.
