Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has been asked to give an account of the money he has been using to sustain the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and explain whether such money was approved by the Rivers State House of Assembly.
In a statement on Monday in Abuja, the convener of Rivers State Democracy Sustainable Group (RSDSG), Justin Chibuike, said Governor Wike has spent a lot on donations to his allies in the course of the PDP crisis and asked him to address the people of the state on the matter or be exposed.

Wike, who has the backing of some PDP governors, is at daggers-drawn with the PDP national chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu and the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, following his failure to clinch the presidential ticket and later the vice presidential slot of the party ahead of the 2023 poll.
Recall that the governor had donated 25 campaign buses to one of his allies in the fight and Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, and N300m to the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) during his endorsement of Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for a second term.
