The exciting 2021 Access Bank polo tournament came to a flourishing climax over the weekend in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, with Solotone and De Chico Investment teams writing their names in gold as the champions of the fiercely contested event.
Former Port Harcourt polo president, Tony Isodje powered his Solotone side to victory in their quest for the event’s biggest prize, the Access Bank Cup, just as Dr. Ikenna Nebolisa pivoted his outsiders side, the De Chico Investment team to win the fiesta’s second most wanted prize, the Captain Cup.
The Access bank powered tourney opened exclusively for playing members of the Port Harcourt Polo Club lived up to its billing as the six equally matched teams showcase their awesome skills and rivalry that thrilled the expectant crowd throughout the four days of intensive campaigns.
Polo Royals also gathered that the event that was hosted under strict compliance with COVID-19 safety protocols, witnessed by the crème de la crème of society, including top government officials, diplomats and polo buffs that turned out in their drove to savour the excitement of the game of kings.
