The Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAE) has disclosed its partnership deals with corporate organizations in the country with the aim of attracting funds for engineering education, researches and projects in higher institutions of learning.
The Academy’s President, Engr. (Mrs) Joanna Olu Maduka made the revelation at the 2017 pre-conference briefing in Lagos.
Maduka said in a bid to lift engineering and technology out of its current state, NAE had kick-started a partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering in Great Britain on the Africa Catalyst Project (ACP).
“I am glad to state that the ACP (which aims at specifying the competencies required of different grades of engineering practitioners in Nigeria, through a document called the Nigeria – SPEC) is in its final stages, and will be concluded this month.
