Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Abuloma Youths Council, Ransome Opuiyo confirmed to newsmen that one the five yet to be identified victims, rescued and rushed to the hospital has also died.
The Abuloma youth PRO also said residents of Aboluma community are currently hunting for the vessel owner and the contractor to charged them for environmental pollution in the community.
“The community is investigating the owner of the vessel and the contractor, who brought it to the jetty,” Opuiyo revealed.
Sunday Trust correspondent who visited the jetty yesterday reported that the vessel was still burning though with low intensity as the Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA) South South, Umesi Emenike advised that the burnt vessel be removed from the waterways to prevent further calamities.
