Abuja school owners honours 111 teachers

The National Association of Proprietors of Private schools(NAPPS) AMAC chapter, has honoured 111 teachers for dedicating their best towards education in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Speaking at an event to celebrate teachers in the city, the Chairperson, of NAPPS Amac, Mrs. Habiba Jibrin, said the award was introduced to set benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers, as well as standards for their preparation to further their education.

Jibrin said the award would also strengthen their employment, teaching and learning conditions.

She said, “As educators, recognition for hard work and dedication is very important as it encourages continuous engagement and validation.

“I am glad to let you know that your efforts in your school is gradually transforming the nation’s educational system and will also reflect on the support you have given to our future generations. We know how important this recognition is, we have deemed it fit to have you all acknowledged in our own way as an association.”

She said no amount of money can take the place of public recognition, but it serves to remind on the need to strive in their profession at all times and do well in every ramification.
