Abuja is set to become Africa’s preferred tourist destination with the launch of Pinnacle City, an iconic mega integrated city resort.
This is according to the president/CEO-Nigeria, Pinnacle City, Chief Dr. Elvis Patrick Ogar Abang.
Briefing newsmen in Abuja on Friday, Abang said the Pinnacle City is designed to transform the economic landscape of the continent by creating a hub for tourism, sports, leisure, and entertainment.
While lamenting the snail-paced tourism development in Nigeria, he noted that the project’s first phase is set to establish a new benchmark for tourism and entertainment in Africa.
He said: “When completed, it will become an African preferred tourist destination. The pinnacle for city Abuja is an iconic mega integrated city resort of sport leisure, entertainment home and eco city as a bangles grip vision to develop a mega integrated city for the future that will become a destination for an economic miracle tourism, sport, tourism, leisure and entertainment hub an eco city, making it the world’s largest eco friendly city in the African continent.
“The concept of this project is to build a global and integrated modern entertainment city in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria and that will radically change the African regional map of economic medical tourism and sustainable residential spot and leisure and entertainment policy.
“The pre launch of the first phase of the project is to publicly establish our plans in locating the world’s largest and tallest sport, leisure and entertainment city on the African continent. After many years of planning, of which we have been developing the largest manmade lagoon in the world, a natural wildlife reserve, Africa village, Olympic stadia and village, water parks, presidential retreat comes and library, manmade waterfall, etc.”
