The Abuja Muslim Forum (AMF), an umbrella body of all Muslim organisations in Abuja and its environs, has urged organisations and individuals to key into the forum’s 10-year development strategy titled ‘Repositioning Abuja Muslim Forum for strength and prosperity over the next Decade’.
The Amir (leader), Alhaji Abdulrasaq Ajani, made the call in Abuja at a special dinner for executive members and other critical stakeholders, where the strategic plan was formally unveiled.
The 12-member executive committee inaugurated on October 28, 2023, would pilot the affairs of the organisation in the next three years from date of inauguration.
He commended the duo of Dr Abdussalam Yusuf and Dr Ja’afaru Mahmud for their efforts in preparing the strategic plan.

Ajani also said that the executive had secured the consent and approval of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, to make the board number eight.
He said that the AMF in its short and medium terms activities had budgeted N61.4m which was planned to be spent on this year’s Ramadan activities, payment for land allocated to the forum in FCT and purchase of a Toyota Hiace Bus among others.
In their separate comments at the event, Engr Tauheed Amusan, Mallam Idris Usman, Dr Shuaibu Idris, Ambassador Haliru Shuaibu, Barrister Yahaya Danyarna (SAN) and Alhaji Abubakar Adamu Evuti among others pledged their commitment to the growth of the AMF and urged individual Muslims and organisations to contribute to the realization of the strategic plan and for the wellbeing and progress of Muslims in the FCT and environs.
The event also witnessed the establishment of the AMF Youth Wing as part of catch them young strategy and succession plan for present and future generations of Muslims.
