The Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and Kwali Area Council emerged winners at the just concluded FCT cadet handball championship as they dominated the medals table.
The Under-12 and Under-15 Boys and Girls championships, which ought to have seen the six Area Councils of the FCT competing for honours, was reduced to a four-team tournament, after Bwari and Kuje Area Councils failed to show up.
In the final matches decided on Thursday, AMAC defeated Kwali Area Council 8-1 to win the U-12 trophy in the girls’ category while Kwali boys got back their pound of flesh as they edged AMAC 12-10 in the boys’ category.
The Under-15 Boys gold also went to Kwali Area Council while Abuja Municipal took the Silver.
