Members of the Market Women and Men’s Association of Nigeria in the FCT have donated yam, tomatoes, pepper and onions to the wife of President Bola Tinubu, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

The president of the association, Mrs Felicia Sani, while presenting the foodstuffs, said the donation was to formally welcome the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu to the FCT.

She said the donation was also to formally adopt the first lady as a member of the association following her positive contribution to the wellbeing of women nationwide.

She added that market women under the Tinubu-led administration were excelling in their businesses because of the peaceful environment provided since his assumption of office.

She, therefore, urged the first lady to continue to support market women with the needed resources at all levels in order to enable them to expand their businesses across the country.

The Mandate Secretary for Women Affairs of the FCTA, Mrs Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi, represented by the Assistant Director in the secretariat, Ms Joy Okosa, who received the foodstuffs on behalf Senator Oluremi, commended the market men and women for the donation, while pledging the administration’s continued support to women in the country.
