Abuja-Lokoja highway free for vehicular movement – FRSC

 

The Kogi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Stephen Dalung has said that vehicular movement has resumed on the Lokoja-Abuja highway following the clearing of debris of burnt vehicles at the Koton Karfe axis.

Dalung disclosed in an interview on Sunday to Daily Trust that two vehicles, a Toyota Hiace and an oil tanker were burnt in a Sunday morning crash.

Explaining, Dalung said that the Hiace, conveying pepper, somersaulted and veered off its lane, hitting an Abuja-bound DAF truck laden with PMS coming from the opposite direction.

He said the four persons who were trapped in the fire were rescued with serious injuries, noting that no life was lost in the crash
