Abuja Lions Club gets new president, targets N20m projects

The Abuja Golden Lions Club, District 404A2 Nigeria, has unveiled Ahmed Babagbemi Tajudeen as its 3rd president for the 2023/2024 Lions Year.

Tajudeen took over from Mr Aminu Anas Ibrahim, who served the statutory one-year term as the president of the district.

He pledged to uphold the codes of ethics of Lions Clubs International and reiterated his commitment to humanitarian services.

He said the club is expected to spend N20m on community projects, including paediatric cancer awareness, prevention and treatment; diabetes awareness and campaign; disaster relief; youth empowerment, among others.

He therefore appealed to the clubs’ members and other well-meaning Nigerians to donate generously to the cause of the projects.
