The Abuja Chapter of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) has won the 2022 Global Outstanding Chapter Award.
The ISACA which is a pace-setting global professional organisation for information systems audit, assurance, control, security, IT governance, risk management and cyber security professionals is converging on Nigeria’s capital city Abuja to strengthen the use of IT for audit.

President of ISACA Abuja chapter, Emmanuel Omoke, at a press conference on Tuesday in Abuja, said that as an IT Professional body, they offer different certifications in the various fields of IT.
“Among the certifications are: The famous Control Objectives for Information Technologies (COBIT) framework and the eminent Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Data Privacy Solution Engineer (CDPSE) and Cybersecurity Practitioner Certification (CSX-P).
“These certifications are respected globally and used by professionals for the benefit of their enterprises and nations.
“Through our chapters, ISACA has been in the forefront of promoting the development and education of IT Security, Governance, Assurance, Risk and Control globally.
“ISACA Abuja Chapter has been recognized by ISACA at the global level as a front runner in growing the professional association in Nigeria. In recognition of its sterling performance, the Abuja Chapter of ISACA won the 2022 Global ISACA Outstanding Chapter Award,” Omoke said.
He said that not resting on its oars, ISACA Abuja Chapter is organizing the 2022 Awards to deepen the penetration of risk management and other areas.
He said, “The awards night and dinner will hold on June 9, 2022 at the Congress of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. A distinguished guest speaker will deliver a keynote address on Cyber Security: An Indispensable Factor in Nigeria’s Digital Economy”.
“We call on corporate bodies and individuals to support our efforts to ensure a successful hosting of the ISACA Awards on June 9, 2022. The success of this event is for the collective good of all in our quest for a better Nigeria.”
