Abuja International Housing Show begins today

Over 352 exhibitors across the building value chain are expected to showcase their technologies,

Stakeholders will today converge at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, for the 15th edition of the Abuja International Housing Show (AHIS).

The week-long show is expected to bring together local and international participants to examine emerging technologies, issues and challenges such as those presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over 352 exhibitors across the building value chain are expected to showcase their technologies, services and products, while participants will have opportunity to build valued networks.

The organisers said the show would be looking at various aspects of PropTech, including Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Crowd Funding, Big Data and Analytics and Smart Building Technology (Internet of Things-IoT).

Other issues to be discussed include Construction Technology, Property Listings and Smart Contracts.

According to the organisers: “Projections are that the industry, while hitting $40bn will see Asia Pacific Region raking in about $7bn. Venture capital firms are beginning to explore PropTech investments in Africa. Who will be the winners and losers? Who will be affected? Developers, lawyers, valuers, construction companies or agents?

“What are the matters of concerns to various real estate stakeholders? These and many more will be the focus of conversations at the AHIS 2021 where the Property Technologists Association of Nigeria aka Nigeria PropTech Association will be showcasing lots of innovation and transformation in the emerging PropTech industry.
