A nine-year-old girl, Daraja Bature, who was declared missing after bandits went on rampage in Adagba community of Abaji Area Council of the FCT, has been found dead.

City & Crime had reported that the bandits numbering about 100 and wielding sophisticated weapons invaded Adagba last Saturday night, killed a 23-year-old man, Nura Mai Gyada, and went away with 36 motorcycles.

A resident of the community, Ishaya Musa, told our reporter that the corpse of the girl was found in the early hours of Monday behind the Local Education Authority (LEA) primary school in the community.

He said after the discovery, the madaki of the community directed that the corpse be taken to her family for burial.

According to him, the corpse was found with machete cuts suspected to have been inflicted by the bandits.

The madaki of Adagba, Adamu Wambai, confirmed the discovery and said the corpse had been buried.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the council, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, has summoned an emergency security meeting with all the security agents and traditional rulers in the area over the attack.
