Abuja: Abaji chair charges accountants on professionalism

The Chairman of Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, has charged accountants in all sectors on professionalism.

Ajiya spoke at the 2020 annual dinner and award of the Gwagwalada branch of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) held at Teachers House, Gwagwalada, Thursday.

He also called on students studying accounting in the territory institutions in the FCT that are aspiring to become professionals to not just stop at graduating as mere accounting students.

The chairman said the importance of the role of professional accountants in business is to ensure the quality of financial reporting, overall stability and progress of society.
