Students of the School of Nursing, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, have targeted about 500 people with different ailments for a free medical outreach in Tudun Wada, Zaria.

The outreach tagged “Medics World” would be held at Tudun Wada Hall, and would offer various services and diagnoses to the less privileged persons in the community.

Abdullahi Mohammed Sani, President of the Medics World, said as student nurses, they owed their community the duty to contribute towards improving their health care.

“This programme is solely facilitated by the students in an attempt to reciprocate the privilege given to them by the Tudun Wada community to study in its environment,” he said.

Also speaking, Malama Salamatu Nagogo, a lecturer, in the School of Nursing, ABU, said community service is part of the moral discipline imparted to them during their study.
