About my school

The name of my school is Future Leaders International School (FLIS).The School is located atNo 10 Surami Road U/Rimi GRA, Kaduna. The school looks very clean and peaceful and has two campuses. Campus one is located at No 9b Chad Crescent off Umaru Gwandu Road Malali GRA Kaduna. This campus is for the nursery and primary sections. While campus two is at No 10 Surami Road U/Rimi GRA Kaduna which is for the secondary section. The building of the school is in U shape and has three different blocks, two gates, a big beautiful environment and places for games. There is also a school shop in the school where different items, such as candies, biscuits, sweets, etc are sold. The school has a bus for picking up students.
The secondary classes are from junior secondary one to senior secondary three and the classes are named after prominent people and places e.g. junior secondary two where I am is named after Albert Einstein; a great scientist. The school also has chemistry and physics laboratories, basketball and a table tennis court. The table tennis court has four tables; three for boys and one for girls while the basketball court is only one. The school has two break periods for both juniors and seniors, with each break for only fifteen minutes. Sometimes in the first break, the junior girls play the basketball while the boys play in the second break. I enjoy playing table tennis because it is my favourite game and I use to make a lot of friends while playing.
About my first day in the school, I will say that I found it very interesting. I went to the school in the morning and when I entered the gate I was feeling a bit nervous because I was a newcomer. When I was going inside the school I saw teachers searching students’ bags when and right inside I saw a teacher and asked her “please where is JSS2 Class?” She was in a hurry and just said “go to the hall”, pointing to a direction. While going to the direction, I saw a big boy who asked me, if I was a newcomer? I said “yes”. He said what class I am I? I said JSS2. He showed me a big hall and said “that is your class”.
My first day in school was on Friday and on Friday school hours are short, we close early. The next day was on Monday and I saw some of my friends and my cousin in the school and I started to feel comfortable in the school. The school closes from Monday to Thursday 2:30pm and on Friday 12:00pm.When we go to school in the morning we have morning assemble during which we have Morning Prayer. After that we all go to our respective classes for lessons. We juniors students offer (16) subjects with use of library as a subject. The Library room is joined together with the computer room. We have a library period once in a week and we go to the library to read stories that are interesting to us.
The teachers of the school are very kind and gentle but very strict. They guide us very well to become good leaders of tomorrow. I like the school because of its good environment, the teachers being very friendly and helpful.
