Abia North lost out in 2016 budget – Sen Ohuabunwa

The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial zone, Mao Ohuabunwa, has explained that his people lost out the in 2016 budget because of legal battle that nullified his first election.
He said also that  Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu suit against him for the second time was injurious to the collective interest of the people.
 Ohuabunwa, who made the remarks in Umuahia, yesterday, after attending the rerun election tribunal, said the legal tussle only amounted to unnecessary distraction to him, and therefore  not in the best interest of the people.
He noted that his absence in the Senate for three months following his sack by the Appeal Court, last year, cost the zone so much as their interests were not accommodated in the 2016 budget.
He, therefore, called on elders and stakeholders from the zone to rise to the occasion and prevail on the petitioners to retrace their steps in the interest of the people.
