Abia Deputy Speaker loses re-election bid

The Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Cosmos Ndukwe (PDP) has lost his bid to return to the state House of Assembly for a second term.

Ndukwe lost to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chijioke Chukwu, who has been declared winner of Bende North State Constituency.

According to the result, APC had 12,172 votes, while PDP got 7,265 votes and APGA scored 4,238 votes.
