Abeny, Yusuf Ali pay tribute to Justice Akanbi

Tributes have been pouring in following the death of former President of Court of Appeal and pioneer chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), Justice Mustapha Akanbi.

Justice Akanbi died at about 1 am today in his residence at Ilorin, Kwara State after a brief illness. He was aged 86

Anti-corruption lawyer, Abeny Mohammed (SAN), while mourning the renowned jurist, harped on the importance of submitting to the will of Allah, adding that every soul must return to Him someday.

 Also, Yusuf Ali (SAN) described him as "a totally detribalized Nigerian, a truly learned jurist, wholly incorruptible, lover of young professionals, great family man, endowed intellect, profound philanthropist and fantastic family man."
