The crisis rocking Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) took another dimension Friday when Senator Magnus Abe representing Rivers South-East in the Senate inaugurated a parallel party secretariat in Port Harcourt.
The secretariat located along Aba/Port Harcourt road, was described by Senator Abe as the “authentic” APC secretariat.
The inauguration was coming one week after the Chairman of APC in Rivers State, Flag Ojukaye Amachree threatened to shut down any parallel secretariat in the state.
Abe and Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi are locked in political crisis over differences arising from APC congresses in the state.
Senator Abe told supporters at the inauguration that all parties in APC crisis should maintain the status quo and the secretariat remained the authentic APC secretariat.
