 Ahmad Abdulrahman has taken over as the Kaduna state Commissioner of Police following the redeployment of CP Austin Iwar to Bayelsa state.

The Command Police Public Relations, DSP Sabo Yakubu who made the disclosure in a press statement in Kaduna said Abdulrahaman resumed duty on 6th August, 2018. 

According to the statement, "Abdulrahaman hails from Kirfi Local Government area of Bauchi State, we was enlisted into the force as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) on March 3, 1990  and trained at Police college, Kaduna."

Yakubu said the new CP holds a B.Sc (Hon) Political Science and Administration, Usman Danfodio University Sokoto in 1988 and a Master’s Degree in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies, masters degree in Criminal Justice, Kaduna State University. 

He added that the CP served in various capacities include, Public Relations Officer Plateau command, Chief Security officer to the late IGP Ibrahim Coomassie,  Squadron Commander, Police Mobile 6 Maiduguri. 

He also served Assistant commissioner police in charge of SCIID, Ogun State, ACP Operation and Deputy Commissioner, operation Kaduna State command respectively and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as head of operations."
