A former Military Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar; Chairman, BUA Group, Alhaji Abdul-Samad Rabiu; President, African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, as well as the Group Managing Director, NNPC, Mallam Mele Kolo Kyari, are to be conferred with the Honorary Doctorate Degrees at the 30th convocation and 38th Founder’s day of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State.
The Vice-Chancellor, FUT Minna, Professor Abdullahi Bala made this known during the pre-event media briefing held at the University on Wednesday.

He said 58 out of its students had graduated with first-class; 948 students had second class upper; 2,047 bagged second class lower; while 801 graduated with third class and 38 students graduated with a pass.
The VC added that 5,049 students would be awarded degrees and diplomas, out of which, a total of 3,892 students would receive first degrees, while 836 would be awarded Masters degrees. Moreso, 121 others will be given Doctorate degrees while 200 will be awarded post-graduate diplomas.
The Vice-Chancellor added that a total of 270 students with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.5% and above will be offered partial scholarships.
No fewer than 23 new buildings will be commissioned and three faculties will move to its permanent site.
