Abdullahi takes over from Pantami at NITDA

Following his appointment by the federal government yesterday, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi has replaced Dr. Isa Ali Pantami as the Director General/CEO of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

The 39 years old Abdullahi was until his appointment a principal officer at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and on secondment to NITDA as a Technical Assistant to the immediate-past NITDA boss, who is now the minister of Communication.

Born on February 21, 1980, Inuwa is a 2004 graduate of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi state.

He has previously worked with the Galaxy Backbone Limited and has a number of professional certifications to his credentials.

He becomes the 5th Director General of NITDA.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded Adeleke Moronfolu Adewolu’s name to the Senate for confirmation as a board member of the NCC, a statement from Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, noted.

He will be replacing Sunday Akin Dare, who is now the minister of Youths and Sports, at the board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), as the Executive Commissioner (Stakeholder Management).

The appointments take immediate effect, Shehu stated.
