Abdullahi Adamu retains Senate seat

Senator Abdullahi Adamu (APC, Nasarawa West) has retained his seat. The returning officer for the Saturday’s National Assembly elections in the state, Ahmed Yakubu Ashuku, yesterday, said Adamu got 115,298 votes to defeat Alhaji Bala Ahmed Aliyu of the Peoples Democratic Party who polled 85,615 and Dr K’tso Nghargbu of the All People Grand Alliance, 28,857.

He gave the total votes cast as 238, 000; valid votes, 232,494 and the rejected votes, 5,506.

He said the number of registered voters was 696,877 and accredited voters, 249,877.
