Abductors of Kwara reverend, aides demand N50m ransom

Abductors of Rev Oladunni, the chairman of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Agbeku, Igbaja District Church Council (DCC) in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have contacted the family, demanding N50 million ransom.

Daily Trust gathered that following the development, the community held a meeting on Monday to discuss how to go about it.
A source, who is conversant with the development, confirmed to our correspondent that the abductors had demanded “N50 million for the three captives in their custody.”
“But the community is meeting on the way forward. That is all I can say for now,” the source added.
Gunmen reportedly killed two people during the incident and abducted three.
A community leader, Hon Rasaki Subair, while speaking to our correspondent on Monday clarified that “Pastor Olawale, a sawyer, was killed during the incident while his wife, Mrs Olawale, their aide and Rev Oladunni were all abducted by the gunmen”.
Mrs Olawale operates a thriving provision store in the area.
The police said they were still on the trail of the kidnappers on Monday.
The abductors had invaded the church auditorium and residence of the victims Saturday night.
Ifelodun has experienced waves of kidnapping recently with some casualties recorded.
