The abductors of seven bakery workers and four other residents of Unguwar Kwanan Pete in Jere LGA of Kaduna State have demanded N60 million ransom.
City & Crime had reported that bandits two weeks ago invaded Albarka Bakery located in Unguwar Kwanan Pete and abducted seven workers, four others and killed two others.
A resident, identified as Sa’adu, who spoke with our reporter on Tuesday, said the bandits’ leader called through one of the victims’ phone on Sunday to make the demand.
He further said, “The victims’ families are still negotiating the ransom. There is fear and tension among the victims’ families on who will deliver the ransom because one of the victims has escaped. The person that will deliver the ransom to them is a major concern because the person may end up being held down because of the escapee.
