A nursing mother, Zainab Buba, who was abducted two weeks ago in her husband’s house has regained freedom.
She was abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers at Namne Village in Gassol LGA four days after she delivered a baby boy.
Daily Trust on Sunday was informed that N300,000 ransom was paid by Buba Maianguwa, the husband of Zainab, to secure her release.
The Secretary of Taraba State Rice Farmers Association, Mallam Mamman Rabiu who was also abducted two weeks ago in Jalingo has regained freedom.
It was gathered that the family paid a huge ransom.
However, a lecturer at the state polytechnic in Jalingo, Kamaludeen Aliyu Babando abducted in Jalingo five days ago is yet to regain his freedom. His abductors were said to have demanded over N20 million ransom.
Police spokesman, DSP David Misal, told Daily Trust on Sunday that the police were doing their best to reduce cases of kidnapping and other crimes in the state.
