A teacher, Sadiya Mohammad, who was kidnapped last week in the Maitumbi area of Minna, Niger State, has been released by her abductors.
She was released in the early hours of Thursday after seven days in captivity.

A family source told our correspondent that one million naira was paid as ransom to the kidnappers before she was released.
The criminals had demanded N5 million.
The state police command could not be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report as its spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun, did not respond to phone calls or text messages.
