An imam in Dakwa community in Bwari Area Council of the FCT, Ahmad Al’Amin, who was alongside three other residents, abducted in May, 2024, has regained his freedom.
Speaking to City & Crime yesterday, a younger brother of the victim, Muhammad Hassan, said that N4m was earlier paid to the kidnappers and N2m added about a week ago.
He said, “They, however, refused to release him on Thursday as they promised until the next day when we heard that he was rescued by soldiers in a bush around Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.’’
He said that one of those abducted alongside his brother, a family member of a senior customs officer, was the first to be released after a ransom payment, while the two other victims were still in captivity.
