Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed the unconditional release of Mr. Agbanigo Isaac of Adun Agbon Street, Ikere-Ekiti, who was abducted by gunmen in his farm along Ajegbende, Ise road.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, ASP Abutu Sunday, said the farmer was released between Ise Kajola and Ijan Ekiti following sustained manhunt and pressure from the team of police operatives.
Abutu added that Isaac had been reunited with his family and thereafter taken to the hospital for medical check-up.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Tunde Mobayo, while reiterating his commitment to the safety of lives and property of residents of the state, implored all and sundry to fully cooperate and support the police and other security agencies in the fight against crime and criminality in the state.
