A former commissioner in the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Alhaji Zakari Mohammed Sada, who was abducted by kidnappers on Saturday on the Kaduna-Abuja highway, has been released.
Sada was released along with his driver on Monday, sources told Daily Trust.
It was however not clear whether ransom was paid to secure his release.
The former commissioner and his driver were seized by gunmen near Katari village along the express way.
Several persons have been kidnapped lately on the highway while security has been beefed up along the road.
