The three Chinese expatriates abducted by terrorists at the Zungeru Hydroelectric Power dam in Wushishi Local Government Area of Niger State were still in captivity two months after.
The Niger State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar disclosed this yesterday while briefing newsmen in Minna, the state capital.

The Chinese engineers were abducted on January 4 when the terrorists attacked officials working on a transmission line tower along Gussase village. Two persons were killed in the process.
Umar said the state government was working in collaboration with the federal government to secure the release of the experts.
“Security operatives are on top of the situation. I will not divulge much of the information,” he said.
Umar said joint security operatives, comprising the army, the police and other security agencies had killed several bandits in the Mariga Local Government Area of the state in the last three days, during which 317 cattle and 73 sheep were recovered.
He said two security agents were injured during the operation and were being treated at a medical facility.
