Bandits have kidnapped 16 farmers out of who four escaped at Kache village in Lapai LGA of Niger State.

A resident of Kache, Dantani Yabuku, said the incident happened on Friday around 11am when the victims were working on their farms.
He said while at the bandits’ camp on Saturday night four out the abducted 16 who were not properly tied up escaped.
A relative of one of the abducted victims, Yahaya Gambo, said contact had been made with the bandits and that they had demanded N16m for the victims to be set free.
Spokesman of the Niger State Police Command, ASP Wasiu Abiodun, said he would inquire about the incident from the Lapai Division and get back to our reporter.
