Aba royal father sends SOS to Ikpeazu, as hoodlums, robbers take over communities

The royal father said that the community has organised its own vigilante group

HRH Eze Sunday Emejiaka of Ohazu Ancient Kingdom, Aba, has called on Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, to help save members of his community from the hands of criminals.

Emejiaka said that the activities of criminals in Ohazu Ancient Kingdom have reached a crescendo, making it necessary for his demand for urgent help.

He made the call Tursday, pleading with the government to save his community from hoodlums and robbers who have turned it into a crime zone.

The royal father said that the community has organised its own vigilante group but it is not enough.

He said it is the local vigilantes that have made it possible for people to buy and sell at the popular Ngwa Road market located in the community.

According to him, the government can support their effort by funding their local vigilante operations from the local government purse.

Emejiaka added that the government could also recruit more men into Abia Vigilante Group and send them to the community to check the increasing crime rate in the area.
