After just 21 days of its theatrical debut, Funke Akindele’s hit movie “A Tribe Called Judah” smashed box office records to become the first Nollywood production to earn N1 billion naira.
Nollywood actress and film producer Funke Akindele revealed this on her Instagram page while sharing the N1 billion performance flier.
“Thank You LORD!!!, Thank Nigeria!!, Thank Ghana!!,” she wrote.
According to reports, the film, which was released in theatres on December 15, 2023, has continued to set records, becoming the first to gross more than N133 million in its opening weekend.
