A/Ibom PDP affirms Gov. Emmanuel as 2019 governorship candidate

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)in Akwa Ibom State has affirmed the election of Governor Udom Emmanuel as the 2019 governorship candidate of the party.

Emmanuel was announced as the chosen candidate by the PDP panel Chairman, Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti who conducted the primaries at the Uyo Township stadium.

Fayose said that Emmanuel polled a total of 3,807 votes out 3,817 cast, adding that 10 votes were void.

Stating that Emmanuel was the only aspirant of the party in the state, Fayose explained that the delegates had to vote in order to complete due process in line with the electoral law.
