Sule sends N8.67bn supplementary budget to assembly

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has sent an N8.67billion supplementary budget to the House of Assembly for consideration and approval.

The Speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, read the governor’s request during the plenary in Lafia, the state capital on Wednesday.

He said that the supplementary bill was to ensure the completion of ongoing projects in the state.

The bill scaled first and second reading after the Majority Leader, Tanko Tunga (APC- Awe North), moved the motion.

Daily Trust reports that the governor had on December 31 signed a N115.7 billion 2021 budget into law.

In a related development, a Bill for a Law to Establish the State Security Trust Fund in Nasarawa State and Other Related Matters Therewith passed the first reading.

Also, a Bill for a Law to Establish the Nasarawa State Information Technology Development Agency and Other Related Matters passed the first reading.
