Teachers urged to get updated regularly

The Principal of the School for the Gifted, Gwagwalada, Abuja, Mr. Samuel Okpe, has urged teachers to update their teaching knowledge and skills regularly in order to keep them in tune with the best practices of the teaching profession.

 Okpe stated this while speaking during an intensive training for the teaching staff of the school, organized in collaboration with its Parent Teacher Association (PTA), recently.

He said the training was organized to commemorate World Teachers Day and to add value to the teachers of the intelligent students of the school.

“Teachers, in order to let learners learn in the best possible ways, have to adapt to the changes from time to time. Teachers have to demonstrate that they possess some special characteristics to handle the changing times and trends in the education sphere,” he said.
