“The analysis that has been carried out throughout the world, WHO has said that Nigeria is 4th best Country in the world. It will not apply to Nigeria. It has been discussed extensively. Something is being done. We are one of the best and it can’t apply to us”.

Also, representative of Africa Centre for Disease Control in Edo State Mr. Pius Ononigwe, urged residents who had first dose of vaccine to come for second one for full protection.

He said, “Nigerian government has obtained a strong commitment that the vaccine is safe”.

The Permanent Secretary, Edo State ministry of Health, Dr. Osawmonyi Irowa, charged residents to observe the safety protocol seriously.

“We have vaccinated well over 100,000 persons. We have Scientific proof and  nobody has passed through that channel that we are not in control in terms of adverse effects,” Irowa said.
