Tanker drivers in Imo State have called off their three-week old industrial action.
The drivers’ union had in August 27 embarked on strike following a disagreement with the government of the state over alleged highhandedness by some agencies of the state.

The situation led to the skyrocketing of price of fuel to as high as N400 per litre.

At a meeting between the state government and tanker drivers in Owerri on Wednesday, the union urged members to resume normal sale immediately.
The government set up a 15-member committee made up of seven members from the government side and eight members from the concerned union.
