As some LGAs remain incommunicado
Residents of Magama town in Jibia local government area of Katsina state have reportedly intercepted and manhandled a suspected bandit.
Daily Trust gathered that the suspected bandit, simply identified as Baleri, allegedly disguised in order to purchase some drugs in the town.
However, some residents identified him and pounced on him, but he was eventually rescued by local vigilante group who were said to have handed him over to the military men patrolling in the area.
His corpse was later said to be found around Kukar Babangida village of the same local government area, but details as to how he eventually gave up the ghost were scanty as at the time of filing this report.
It was gathered that three of his relatives who came to retrieve his corpse for burial were also arrested by security agents.
This was coming as GSM network service in some local government areas of the state, including Jibia, was suspended.
Other local government areas suffering under “no-network service” problem include Faskari, Dandume, Funtua, Malumfashi, Bakori, Dutsin-Ma and Barsari among others.
