The Korean Cultural Centre, Nigeria on August 31 hosted the Nigerian Para-athletes in commemoration of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Lee Jin Su, Director of Korean Cultural Centre, Nigeria and made available to Daily Trust on Tuesday.

He said the aim of the event was to commemorate the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics – which was ongoing at that time, recognise and celebrate the efforts and courage of all Para-athletes, provide a platform for Korea-Nigeria interaction and present an opportunity for the guests to experience Korean culture.
He said 20 members of the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria were invited to the event, adding that they were all in attendance.
Amongst the attendees were some distinguished guests such as the past president of the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria and three times Gold Powerlifting-Paralympic champion, Mr Monday Emoghavwe; two Powerlifting Paralympians Mr Abdulazeez Ibrahim and Ms Pepsuzie Obi Aluko and a member of the Junior Nigeria Para-Powerlifting Team, Ms Mary Bala.
The activities of the day consisted of a Korean movie experience centred around the Winter Olympics called ‘Take Off’.
The group also went ahead to watch a Taekwondo performance by the in-house Taekwondo team, played a Korean sports game called ‘Tuho’ and engaged in a mini-tour of the exhibition.
