NYCN, CSOs urge president to implement report

The National Youth Council of Nigeria, in conjunction with its frontline civil society partners, has urged President Buhari to ensure full implementation of the forensic audit report of the NDDC to end corruption and fraudulent activities in the commission.

NYCN President, Solomon Adodo, at a press conference in Abuja Thursday, alongside some civil society partners, urged Buhari to discountenance distraction that might be sponsored against the implementation of the report, in the interest of the people of the Niger Delta region and Nigerians as a whole.

“We’re certain that with the submission of the forensic audit report, the era of unprecedented and monumental corruption manifesting in extensive contract frauds, procurement law infractions, non-budgetary and extra-budgetary spending, audit violations, cronyism, fiscal recklessness and flagrant disregard to procedural rules as well as other financial malpractices shall be put to a final halt while ushering unprecedented development for the region”, he said.
